Diversity

MY PERSPECTIVE:

Portland State University is a very diverse institution. We frequently host student organized social events to discover and support our diverse campus. Diversity contributes greatly in critical thinking. In class we talked a lot about gender issues and political and social oppressions assosiated with issues as such. We delved into research to find what human rights in general look like in different countries and discovered that our western perspective is surprisingly original to some foreign policies. A number of different art movements rose to highlight this issue, however it proved quite difficult in more traditional oriented societies. Read on below for more details.
